Gachhadar announces new Madhesi front

Sep 2, 2015- Madhesi Janadhikar Forum- Loktantrik (MJF-L) Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachhadhar on Wednesday announced the formation of a new Madhesi front.
The new Madhesi alliance include Sharad Singh Bhandari led Rastriya Madhes Sadbhawana Party (RMSP) and Raj Kishor Yadav led Forum Gantantrik and Gachhadar led MJF-L. Top leaders of the three parties announced the new front at the parliamentary party office of MJF-L in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu on Wednesday. The leaders have warned of boycotting the entire Constituent Assembly (CA) procedure if the big three parties continue to remain indifferent to their demands until September 4 the deadline for the amendment to Constitution Draft Bill.
The MJF-L has 14 seats in the CA, RMSP has 3 seats and Forum Gantantrik has one seat.
"We are still in the CA process," said Gachhadar, "But we will walk out of the CA if the big parties did not address our demands."
He said that they would compel the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist) to bring an eight-state federal model. He added the paries with similar objective have come together to form an alliance.
Accusing the government of being involved in terrorism in Madhes, RMSP Chairman Bhandari said the environment of talks was ruined by some of the responsible leaders' conceited statements.
Forum Gantantrik leader Yadav warned that they would quit the CA if their gentleness was not taken seriouly. He said the front will struggle from both the streets and parliament.
